Tourbillon is a low furniture piece acts like a back supported pillow. The entire design is crocheted by using 25 rolls of cotton thread manufactured from old t-shirts. I created a pattern which gets thinner and wider further thinking of the rolls when all become one piece after stitching together. The process has couple of steps starting with the crocheting the continuous piece following the template, than placing the cushioning which are the pre-cut foams in different thicknesses and sewing around it to form the one continuous roll. The last step is to make the spiral shape by sewing tightly and working from the middle by building up. While stitching the rolls one to another, I used the bright pink color as an accent. To end the spiral shape I made a tail part where the user can pull from to carry it where ever they wish.
On the other hand this specific yarn has its own weight and its own structure where my inspiration came from and I let the user to feel the same sensation by holding the tail which I didn't fill with any support.
