This was a project I did for Vera Wang for Wedgewood. My intention was to come up with a group of pattern designs where I used Vera, herself and her fashion elements. I was inspired by the thought of an ideal wedding. Taking into consideration wedding theme, bridal dress, hair styles and wedding jewelry.
For my four piece dinnerware set I used different 3D patterns for the large plate, small plate, bowl and the mug. Rather than covering the whole surface, I used specific areas to apply a raised decals creating the pattern three dimensionally while I kept the color neutral in earth tones.
VERA WANG FOR WEDGEWOOD PART II
For the second part of this project I created two gift optionsbased on the same pattern (THE BOWL PATTERN)The first one was made out of copper, where the pattern was cut into the material. By bending it I provided depth to the plate and a shape that resembles a flower. The second plate was made out of nickel and the pattern was applied with a black patina.
